* Humoresque, German Humoreske; a type of character piece, generally a short piano composition expressing a mood or a vague nonmusical idea, usually more good - humored than humorous. 

* "유모레스크"라는 말의 뜻은 원래 재미있는, 유머스러운 곡이라는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 

하지만, 드보르작의 유모레스크는 슬픔속에서의 기쁨을 노래하는 듯, 오히려 슬프고 장엄한 느낌이 듭니다.

Click! Frederick Chopin - introduction and Polonaise Brilliante, Op. 3

* 쇼팽은 폴란드의 낭만 음악 작곡가 입니다. 쇼팽은 피아노곡을 많이 작곡했어요. 피아노가 시그니처인 작곡가 입니다. 

쇼팽은 1810년에 폴란드에서 태어 났어요. 슈만도 1810년 독일에서 태어났죠. (슈만의 시그니처는 피아노곡, 성악곡) 헝가리 피아니스트 리스트는 1811년 오스트리아에서 태어납니다. (리스트는 Austro-Hungarian 입니다. 리스트의 시그니처는 피아노 작품들입니다)

- 여기서 시그니처란, 작곡가가 자신이 투자를 많이 하고, 그만큼 자신의 음악을 표현하고 싶어했던 분야입니다.) 모차르트는 오페라라고 말씀 드렸죠?

쇼팽, 리스트 둘다 기막힌 피아니스트였지만, 전혀 다른 스타일의 작곡가들입니다. 

쇼팽은 내성적이고, 시적인 살롱스타일의 곡들을 주로 작곡했어요. 

반면 리스트는 "피아노의 파가니니" 라고 불릴 만큼 화려했어요. 

제가 좋아하는 로맨틱 작곡가들이 다 고만고만 한때에 태어났네요. 

세계 3대 콩쿨중 하나인 쇼팽 피아노 국제 콩쿨은 폴란드에서 5년마다 열립니다. 한국의 조성진이 한국인 최초로 2015년에 우승 했습니다. 쇼팽의 곡으로만 경연을 치룹니다. (그만큼 피아노곡이 많다는거겠죠?) 이번 2020년도에 치뤄질 예정이었으나.. COVID - 19으로 인해 2012년으로 미뤄졌네요.

쇼팽은 피아노곡을 많이 썼지만, 나이가 들면서 첼로 음악에 다가가고 싶었던 것 같습니다. 

쇼팽이 39세로 죽기전에 쓴 첼로 소나타가 있어요. 어려워서 라이브 공연에서는 쉽게 들을 수 있는 곡은 아닙니다. 조금 불편한 곡이에요. 

30분정도 되는 이 큰 소나타는,  쇼팽이 좀 더 오래 살았다면, 첼로 음악이 얼마나 더 모던화 됐을까 하는 생각을 갖게 하는 곡입니다. 

오늘은 쇼팽의 첼로 소나타 말고, 

좀 짧은 쇼팽의 첼로 음악.

이곡은, 피아노 첼로 둘다 테크닉적으로 어렵습니다. 

여러분의 선생님은 1년전만 해도 손가락이 굉장히 잘 돌아 갔군요.
